oxygen
I am elderly & require oxygen. Does anybody know if tanks are available or can be refilled in La Paz or San Jose or Cabo.

I am almost positive they can, just do a search in the local Yellow pages and you will find them.
Ask any dive shop in the area and they will know where you can get them.

No idea, but I remember a news article many years back about
somewhere in Mexico that they were selling "Industrial" grade
Oxygen for "Medical" purposes. OK "MOST" of the time.
In Mexico, you just never know.

La Paz Yes
Certainly you can by medical grade oxygen in La Paz from a comerical outlet off of what I recall to be Abasolo?, (what ever street the Malicon becomes
when it connects with Colima? Shoot, I am lously at street names but it is down by the "smaller"CCC super market. On a side street to the left of the
big parking lot when your facing the store entry.
Anyway, come on down, the air is great and you will breath easier, although I would wait until fall.
I know I did a trace on buying medical oxygen for Dad when he was coming South via the road around the end of Oct. more or less. Anyway, I will try a
serch on Nomad in the discussion archives and see if it is still there and if it is I will try to bring it back up. It would be a little dated, but
worth double checking on. I did not find a source in Los Cabos.
Oh Yeah, and it is real handy to have seveal of the portables and two of the big ones if you can, you need to show up real early in the morning
Monday thru Friday for a fill up on the same day.
They were always more than kind to me when I did this for my father last year.
Ain't cheap though, I can guarantee that. Sure would be wise to bring TWO oxygen makers with you for home use. You will save a bundle if you do, and a
back up is a real good idea, even if they are the world greatest micky mousers in Mexico, it is real scary to ride on the edge of an almost empty
oxygen tank.

Oxygen in Baja
I assume that this is cross referenced from the "general" topic site as well as from Fred's board.
See my posts from last year.
Listen carefully.
Do not believe anything to the contrary.
ALL OXYGEN COMES FROM THE SAME BULK SOURCE!!!
So, if stuck, go to a welding supply, a welder, a dive shop, anyone who has O2 will be able to provide what you need.
Yeah, you may need to add a nebulizer for moisture but it is the same stuff.
And good luck.
Don't tell the medicos or the feds, they don't want to hear this, but it is true.
