BoLA Camping

Hey guys. I plan to stop and camp at BoLA on my drive from Los Frailes to San Diego next month. Thinking of stopping at Daggett's or heading out to la Gringa. Any pointers on these places. Is camping at la Gringa safe?

Thanks for the input.

My guess is you will be the only human(s) around la Gringa at that time of the year. So please don't do anything stupid as there won't be anyone around to help you if you get into trouble. i.e. boat sinks, stuck in the sand, flat tires with no spare, attacked by sharks, stung by any or all of those things that can sting you, eaten by coyotes, food poisoning, getting barbed in the heart from a giant bat ray, trying to eat a puffer fish, getting carried away in a strong current and drowning, falling onto sharp rocks, etc.

Oh, and the one in a billion chance that a bandito or a cartel member will show up and shoot or rob you.

Just down the road from Daggetts - maybe another 3/4 mi., you'll see a sign for Los Pintos campground. A few brick and palm palapas with BBQ grills, and one larger, circular one with concrete/palms. The two times I've been there, nobody has been around. It's clean, right on the water. Check it out. The circular one has protection from the wind.

I guess I'll plan on getting there early (coming from Rice & Beans) and weighing all of the options.

Thanks everyone for input on all of my posts. It has been very helpful and appreciated vey much.
