Amphibians and Reptiles of Baja California is available from Baja Books and Maps, owned by one of our own Nomads (as are others of the books David recommends). I highly recommend it for kids. I keep it lying out, and the neighborhood kids in Asuncion love looking at it and identifying the critters that they have seen. That creates an opportunity for me to learn the Spanish words for the various animals.
