Finally a webb site for Bahia Asuncion B&B

http://www.bahiaasuncionbb.com/
Jean & Ed have asked me to share their web site with all of you and to thank you for your support during construction and the their first season with guests. They've done a beautiful job and look forward to making your time in Bahia Asuncion enjoyable and memorable. Both Jean & Ed are artisans in there own areas and have a real love for their community. Stop on by and shoot the breeze. I know this sounds like an ad but their my good friends and I know you'll enjoy their company as I do in Chivato.

WOW. A first class place in Asuncion. And with reasonable rates. I know where I will stay on my next trip North.

I'll spread the word!

More power to them. But jeesh, having a gross spelling error on their main sign seems kinda... grossly Gringo-ish. (Missing accent on "Bahía)

A bit of blue paint would fix that... :)

Nice looking website but they say there is no gas station in town. There is no Pemex but there are two places in town to get gas. I wish them the best of luck.

Jean has made the correction about gas in Bahia Asuncion and thanks all for their comments and corrections. lencho, I don't think Bahia is a "gross spelling error". Jean mentioned she had talked to many local educated folks about it before the sign was painted. Also consulted the dictionaries and most said no accent is OK. So she has decide to keep with the local spelling. My understanding is the accent automatically falls on the second to last syllable. Thank you for pointing it out and continue pointing out any errors you may come across.

Check the links!

Jean and Ed may want to check-out the links posted on their new web site.

I used one......http://www.mexonline.com/ignaciosprings.htm.....

and it cost me over $1,200.00 pesos for one overnight stay.

My mistake for not verifying the posted rates :o

next time I shall do better:yes:

I never heard of a dipthong before or don't remember it. So I'm dumb :(... but learning. That explains a lot thanks. Good argument and I'll let Jean & Ed make the call this time.

Well sorry MM,

didn't want to offend anybody here......didn't know that place was priceless either.

I spelled it out clearly, that it was my mistake to follow that posted link and not to verify that info in there.

Relax, some of us have to watch our mula

Have not stayed there (yet), but Ed and Jean are friends and neighbors from Punta Chivato for a few years now. They are great, great folks and we know they'll take fantastic care of you.

Yes I believe so. Why don't you go and find out? I Usually stay with friend while I am there.

As an after thought. Why don't you go and spend a day in each. Then report back with an unbiased review of the accommodations?
