SAN JOSE MORDIDA..FEDERALES

Hola,

POSTED TODAY ON BAJAPONYEXPRESS.

I'M JUST PASSING INFO.

BIEN SALUD,

DA RAT

" Towed a nice boat from LB to San Jose Marina and got pulled over in San Jose by Federales in a pickup for not having a valid sticker on the trailer plate. They wanted me to disconnect the boat and trailer until we got a valid sticker and pay all the fines for various infractions. A 3000ps here and now fine kept us going. Be sure your equipment is US/CA/MX legal before getting on the road ".

Scary.... couple years ago I bot a new 10 foot open trailer to haul all of our camping gear.
The new license never arrived by the time we left, so I posted here on Nomad if anyone had any experience with a "no plate" run.
Not much good input, so we just set off, spent 10 days prowling all around BCN and home without an inquiry. No plate, no paper sticker, NADA....
Guess I got lucky...

Actually I am surprised you made it into the states without the paperwork

I get more chit from the US side when hauling a trailer.

I had Paperwork, I just did not have plates.
And yeah, I held my breath on both sides of the border,
