Bonneville World Finals

After 33 years of travelling Baja, 12 of those years in the seat of a racing pickup, I thought I had seen it all.
Well, 3 days on the salt flats sure did expand the old mental horizons!
Man that is a trip!!!
Like an endless ride across Chapala, only better.... no dust, no ruts, nada, just fast track.
Anyway, the Baja connection is......
my original Baja racing partner, Chuck Billington, cranked out a 230 mph average with his home built (hah!) Ford V-6 powered lakester.
Broke the old Class F record by 31 mph.
Want to see a bunch of old Baja racers, have some deja vu about the 'good old days' when it was fun and regular guys could do it?
Make the Bonneville scene, it is a real trip.

Baja Arriba!!
