Check back on Friday:yes:

Plans for Pollo Saltado were changed for Arroz con Pollo Peruano - along with a side plate of Ceviche Peruano. I am taking photographs of these items, and will post this evening!

Woody - I closed my eyes, and I was instantly in Peru. The food was that good. Melissa is an excellent cook.

I don't know how to break this news, but the young woman to my left was fatally injured last week here in Riverside while waiting to take the bus to her home.

Her Husband, Her Family, and all of her Friends including me are all at a great loss now. Melissa shared these incredible recipes from her Peruvian culture and always prepared these foods with such a smile that I will never forget.

Vaya con Dios, Melissa.:saint:

Thanks Jerry and Marie. Melissa came over every Wednesday to cook something new for us from her homeland. Her family is preparing to come to the US shortly and we are looking forward to be meeting them and attending her services at Riverside National Cemetary next Friday. Even though my might know someone for just a couple of months, they can make you feel like you have known them for years. That is who Melissa was to everyone she met here in Riverside, CA.

Memorial Meal and Family Gathering (with Food)

Here are a few photos of Melissa's family (from Peru) and our friends. The food reflected the Mexican region - prepared with love by the hosts of this special dinner. Melissa's family were very happy to have spent this time getting to know all of us.
