Pretty much all the vacant land you see, except the golf course of course!! The present development is just north of the hotel on the beach on the lower portion across from the blvd between the beach & the golf course. Right now, I noticed a huge concrete pumping truck delivering cement to the third story of the condo's at the very end on the Phase II which is their second building of 12 units, in which there are only four left to sell. Cemex from the mainland has arrived at Loreto and set up shop. Large trucks, and the pumping truck. They are supposedly here for the 'long haul'.

Phil is correct - the vacant land on either side of the road just north of the Camino Real will be LB. The lots are marked off and are about the size of my bedroom. There is also a "convention center" being built - not sure if that is part of LB or a FONATUR thing.

BTW the wunderground/Loreto link above does not work.

I just returned from Loreto and had a great time SCUBA diving but on Monday the winds really kicked up where we were diving the C-54 Military minesweeper wreck and Coyote Point, just outside Puerto Escondido. We attempted to pilot the boats back but the swells were too big. Rather than risk capsizing we trailered the boats at the harbor and drove back to Loreto.

As we were exiting the Puerto Escondido harbor I noticed MANY roads/cul-de-sacs and street lamps indicating planned housing development but no houses there. It seems there has been a previous housing development which didn't come to fruition...
