Anything attached needs to be under 50k in file size currently.

You can also use a third-party hosting service such as Photobucket, and then insert images using BB Code (you can use this icon to help you:
)

I have posted easy step by step instructions for us who are not computer geeks. Use the search or just scroll down the photos forum to find one of my How to post photos on Nomad posts. I am on my phone now otherwise I would post it again now.

Attaching an image from your PC here requires it to be under 50 kb... and you are limited to the one photo per posting.

THERE IS AN EASY WAY TO POST BIGGER PHOTOS, and the file size isn't restricted, just the pixel width... as well as posting more than one picture per post here.

Join photobucket (free), create albums and upload your photos to the albums that you want to share here.

BEFORE uploading, click on: Customize your upload options and select 640x480 (nice size for most photos) or 800x600 (max size for Nomad, for max detail, such as maps).

Select the IMG link under your photo (move mouse on photo you want to post here), and copy that IMG link...

Paste that link here where you type on Nomad... you can type in text between photos,... and you can post multiple photos in one post.

Just pre select 800 pixels wide or smaller so the Nomad page isn't distorted by giant photos, as we sometimes see here.

Here are samples of how big photos will appear at various pixel widths, from Photobucket.com:

MAX ON NOMAD: 800

640:

320:

160:

Feel free to u2u or email me for additional help!

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

How about attachments?

BN FAQS just says that you can include attachments with your post but there are no instructions how to do this. I've tried everything I can think of to include an attchment FROM MY DOCUMENTS without success.

it depends on the format of the file. attach the file (less than 50kb) and it will display as a foto or an attachment depending on its format .jpg .pdf .doc etc...

Some of the forums allow attachments, others do not. Perhaps that is the issue?

Those forums allowing attachments have a posting option to select a file for attachment. File must be under 50kb currently. If it's an image file, it'll display the image.

Attaching a screenshot image of what it looks like in my browser to make this post (before I typed it and attached the file).

attachfilesm.png - 19kB

I tend to think this one is pretty helpful:
