Cabo Bakery

I stopped in today. It was easy to find(BTW it is behind the old Lenny's Deli). What a wonderful aroma.
I bought a still warm baguette, two blackberry danish and a cheese bread stick.
All were yummy.

On the road out of town toward San Jose(big four lane, I think that this is Card##as) take a right in front of the fire station, just before Mcdonalds. Go two blocks and take a left, when you see City Club on your right, get into the far left lane and pull into a parking lot just before the traffic light. You will be able to find it from here by the aroma.

I love good bread too. There is a gringo in El Pescadero that is an excellent baker. He has a limited variety, and He or his kids sell from a roadside stand on Sundays. You can also buy from the organic vegetable stand in Todos Santos. The only problem is he wants 80 P for a loaf of bread. For the mathematically challenged that's about $6.50 us. Pretty high for a loaf of bread, but it didn't stop us from buying several loaves this winter.

Blanca,

An other way is, as you enter the town of Cabo the bakery is on the left hand side of the road...it can be seen from the red light that is on that corner, however that is a one-way road so you can not turn left. Go down to the next red light and turn left @ McDonald's. Turn left at the next intersection then left again at the next intersection...there is a laundromat on this corner. You are now on the one-way road headed back toward the red light. Cabo Bakery is on your left. There are two driveways...turn in the last driveway that is closest to the red light. Like Judy said follow the amora...it will lead you to their door! This link has a photo of their sign.

I love their sour dough bread. They have a bread slicer, just ask and they can slice the loaf.

OMG
Stopped in for some rye bread today.
It was still warm....ooooooooooooh
They sliced it for me.
It was as good as any rye bread I have ever had and I lived in NYC for years.
