I think the place is closed (or was as of a few months ago).

It is located at the camping point where surfers hang out at K58.

At one time it was a great hang-out for the surfer crowd, but other than that the place was so-so.

Be aware...there is sometimes a guard at the arch that you must drive under to get to the beach, and he will charge you $5.00 U.S. to drive to the bluff.

We used to go there mid to late 90's. it was always a good value whole fried fish was a favorite. Jose used to do the cooking. Later the place expanded and Jose was absentee owner and place suffered. Palapa was the first place we saw Miguel De La Hoya, he was the regular entertainment there for a few years. One New Year's Eve we had a BIG party there with all the fixins and Miguel and his buddy played all night for tips. Good times. Haven't been back there in a long time.

I think the place you're talking about is baja sol, it was owned by a guy from honduras, allegedly a front for illegal activities, according to the locals anyway:lol: Jose's is nice, wish he would get it going. La Mision bar is really nice too, rather give my money to them than george (lighthouse). jmo
