My new Gilligan's Island Margarita

I came up with idea a few weeks ago, and it is now my favorite recipe

Giligan's Island Margarita

Key Lime
Tequilla
Controy
topped of with Sprite or 7up

Here is the kicker
I add about a half of an orange sliced up
and the magic ingredient,

A Little Ginger!!

I peel and slice a ginger root into coin sized slivers and let the lime, orange and tequila marinate together for a while!

Very tasty with the spicy bite from the ginger

Sprite?????.....well better than Fresca

Try it with pineapple juice instead of the soda pop

I have won three Margarita contests in the last few years and the recipie is very simple. I jigger Controy, I jigger Tequila, 2 squeezed limes, a very small splash of Fresca to take away the bitter of the lime, On the rocks and salt.

So I really like the idea of a little Ginger root and I will try it slightly grated, which really brings the flavor out.

We have used ginger ale instead of 7up or sprite for years now. I like the ginger coin.
Also used Tequila instead of Vodka calling it a Mexican Burro instead of a Russian Mule.

Sounds good with the ginger and ginger ale.

Had a new drink at an outdoor c-cktail lounge in Dana Point last week. A shot of gin over ice in a pre-chilled metal mug, a splash of Agave Syrup and topped up with Ginger Beer. Garnished with 1/2 an orange wheel.

It's all good.
