Mood: Always cranky unless medicated

[*] posted on 9-25-2013 at 02:51 PM

Ah, nothing like controversy to bring out the Pundit-Punchers. No, it won't do a thing about changing the obesity rate of the Country. But, like high tobacco taxes, it will help the Government pay for the ever-increasing medical costs they pick up paying for the ever-increasing Diabetes that will soon reach epic proportions not unlike the U.S., especially in Indigenous Native popluations. It's not a matter of punishing the porky, but defraying the inevitable burgeon of tax-monies going to pay for their future medical bills.

So go ahead, guzzle your Big Gulps, you have the right. You also have the right to smoke, just not blow it in my face and lungs. I have a habit too.... i like a few Pacificos now and then. The biproduct of my habit is urine. Would you mind if i stood on a chair and peesed on your hair and clothes? Oh, and urine isn't carcinogenic.

I'm on the fence on this stuff............

Part of me thinks we need to discourage soda use, as well as other harmful stuff. I say put an obese 11 year old on every Coke can saying, "If you drink 64 ounces of soda a day, you will get fat."

I'm joking............but I do see people filling up 64 ounce soft drinks at gas stations every day. Mix in some water.

I've talked to people who have no idea the calorie content of their favorite foods and beverage. Labeling has been a plus right? Education is needed.

Accentuating the Positive

Bulkier People are less likely to survive unnoticed a secret Northbound Trek.

Besides less stamina, they'd also be easier to spot.

And track due to deeper footprints.

Slower carrying those extra pounds and supplies.

Sometimes it's elusive, but there's always a Bright Side to be found when you look hard enough.

OR SUNDAY SCHOOL. YUK!

"Sunday School"?????????? Is anybody FORCING you to go to Sunday School, or passing laws requiring you to go???? Apples and oranges!!! I went to "Sunday School" for years, and even served in the Church as an Acolite, and most of the stuff I leaned was good stuff, but some was just mystical & hard to swallow, for me. I ended up being an Agnostic. We do have choices when it comes to religion and Sunday School, unlike rules and laws imposed on us if enforced.

The Power of FAITH

Aided by the Sweetness of Sugar ?

If there isn't, there SHOULD be a religious exemption.

Whereby, the churches could offer Cokes and the like to attendees at both Sunday School and Mass.

I'll bet that a LOT more would give Jesus a chance.

Hallelujah.

And pass the Chips.
