What The Hell "Blood Moon" ?

Looked at 7:30 and it was sort of amber.

Looked again at 10:00 PM and it was the same old pale yellow orb.

Do I need to don rose colored lenses to get the full 3-D effect?

Or, two hours early if observing on the proper night. The eclipse was full and quite clearly visible right on schedule in Bahia Asuncion. Not to worry, the same thing happens again this year, and twice next year. You didn't miss much, the moon RISE the next night was just the same color and the moon appeared MUCH larger to the unaided eye. It was prettier and I didn't lose sleep!
