Hua Mei

I know that the prevailing opinion is that there is no good Chinese food in Rosarito. I think an exception might be able to be made for Hua Mei on the same street as the Waldos toward the beach from the main drag. These people are from Canton. It is hard to find Cantonese food even in LA which was all there was when I was a kid.
The other day there was a party of twenty for lunch, all Chinese nationals vacationing. They gave the food a thumbs up. I happen to think that the crew here has the knowledge and puts forth the effort to produce a decent product and I am a critic. Cantonese cooking works with some very subtle flavors so being the absolute best is something that may not be possible out side of China but this place is worth a try.
