POSADA DE LA MISION - RIGHT ON THE MALECON IN LA PAZ

We stayed at the Posada de la Mision the other night on the recommendation of a friend and had a really nice stay. If you are looking for a place right on the malecon, check out this posada. It's located at #220 Alvaro Obregon (otherwise known as the malecon).

We stayed in what they call a suite which was 2 bedrooms, bath, and small kitchen/sitting area for $700 pesos.

The owners took it back from the long-time lessee, and have been upgrading it, so it's a work in progress.

Do be aware that there is no parking, so if you have a car there is a parking lot (with parking attendant) within a couple of blocks where you can leave your car overnight.

This is a great location for travelers who want to be right on the malecon and within walking distance to places in el centro such as the cathedral, restaurants, mercados, etc.

One other note - in our suite only one room (one of the bedrooms) had a/c. This wasn't an issue for us since we were there for just one night and had no need or plans to use the kitchen area. Also, this wouldn't be an issue in the winter, but in the summer do check on what the a/c situation is beforehand.

Blanca - the phone # is 612-128-7767

Looks like they also have a facebook page "Hotel Posada de la Mision".

Great that you found street parking right below your room, willardguy.
