Questions re Board Usage

Wow! What a shock about the Amigos board.

Firstly, it's great to feel welcome here. Secondly, I have a couple of questions regarding Nomad's absorbing part of the posters and readers off Amigos. Is this benifitial to the existing board or would it be overwhelmed with increased traffic? Regarding my personal posting style (longer stories of Baja-related experiences and travels as seen on Freds board and previously on Amigos) would this style of posting fit with the intentions, desires and best interests of the readers, posters and board management of Nomad?

Thanks in advance for your comments and advice.

Mike, I personally think it would be great and maybe it would inspire me to find the time and will to finish the atomic fireball story. Welcome.

PS of course I only speak for myself.

Quite a surprise to happen in such a sudden manner.

If the use here continues to grow, the present site will (and has been at times) a bit overwhelmed. So, I'll need to move the site to equipment that I have in a different datacenter that would accomodate the disk space and bandwidth needs. I'm going to evaluate the situation over the next week or two to determine if this migration ends up being more temporary or permanent -- and proceed based upon the trend at that point.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Do you think it would be beneficial to create a new forum here to accomodate such stories that are more in-depth?

Thanks for the note Mike.

Doug,

Whatever works for the betterment of the board is fine with me. Amigos had a story board that wasn'y used to the fullest. Fred has a "correspondents corner" with specific niches for specific posters. But it doesn't matter to me. Thanks for the info.
