Egads, the festival has almost doubled in size from last year. This year it is truly international with people from Japan, Holland, Canada, US, Mexico, South America, and Russia. I can not wait to see the all girl troupe from Japan doing Mariachi. The greatest thing for me is to watch all the little kids who are here to learn from the best teachers in the world and they get center stage on Friday night to open the whole festival. I consider this festival to be better than Guadalajara in terms of the teaching and learning that goes on. These kids are truly getting the heart and soul of Mexican Culture and they are taking it home to wherever they go and spreading the word. This is truly something that Mexico can be proud of.
