My abrasive posts

OK Mike, Bait, Debra, I have read back through my stuff and yours.
I am trying to see your sides and putting myself in a tourists position reading what I have to say.
Seems fair about the places you frequent and I have insulted you by stating my feelings about them. They are beautiful yet in my mind, a little crowded and cater to tourism rather than being an actual Mexican village.. To each his own.
Now, let's just say that I am not in this for self credit, slamming all americans, or any of the other things I am accused of by a select few.
Let's say that I think that the only way to solve what I see as problems is to start by talking about them. Awareness.
So far, everytime I have said something about many americans rude behaviour, it is turned into me being a bragger or anti american and think I am superior to all.
This is by no means the case. I am dung!
I care about everybody as long as they are honest.
What I am trying to do is to make everyone think about what I am saying. I don't make this stuff up. I see it every single day. And I travel down here a lot and have based my information on 10 years of living here. Almost every day.
I think that no matter which of you that are actually guilty of the things that I complain about, at least some of you might just think again about throwing that plastic overboard or out the truck window, And maybe there are a few more of you who will pack a box of clothes or notebooks rather than that extra case of wine.
And perhaps some of you may even start thinking of "these people" as kind, caring individuals who just don't have any money and can't understand what you are saying.
I bring these things to peoples attention for two reasons. Number one is, it's getting worse down here and ignoring the problems don't make them go away.
Number two is, I think if you actually read what I have to say without thinking it is a personal attack on yourselves or me trying to brag, you will see that what I am saying is to try to enlighten, rather than attack.
Nevertheless, I am going into the mountains soon. And it's to take stuff to the people and make bamboo grow. And I will be there for a few months.
The length of time and places I'm going, I will brag about !!

Merry Christmas JR. Go get some clean mountain air. I could sure use some myself.
Adios!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

JR ,

I am enlightened by and enjoy your posts and predict that the board will be a lot duller while you are out of pocket.

Mi amigo de corazon!

JR,
I have a small suggestion for you my friend. Realize that you are wasting your talents by always defending your positions. Just state them forcefully as you always do and then go on to something else. Write about the people and places that we both love and be damned to the few that do not take the time to understand you.
I miss seeing the Baja I can no longer visit
Your stories and pictures are food for my soul and I am sure that is true for most people on this board.
Some of them just enjoy pushing your buttons so just ignore them and make the rest of us happy with your trips down south.
Tu Amigo,
Bernie

May I be so presumptuous as to jump on the bandwagon.

Thanks JR for adding your distinct perspective, and Merry Xmas to all, and to all a good night.

Well there, all better once again!

Let's keep this in mind when one of us irritates someone (or everyone)... We all are 'human' and have individual beliefs and ideas or bad habits... But, when it comes to Baja we should work as a group of good. Be it towards each other or to improve circumstances on the peninsula.

Merry Christmas

Feliz Navidad y A?o Nuevo Amigos

May you all have the fortune to get to know some rancheros in the mountains of Baja
May your areas of the beach all be free of agua malas
May your troublesome vecinos be blessed with your share of sancudos.
May the potholes all fill before meeting your tires.
And, may you be in the mood to dance when the Mexicans arrive!

Feliz everyone!!! Do something nice for someone you don't know.
