Internet and Cell Service in San Juanico

Jose Davila will be heading over to San Juanico from Loreto today.

He's carrying a couple of HughesNet systems with him and also a couple of cell phone boosters. He may have time for some service calls after he finishes two jobs we started there last month.

When we were there last month, we saw a lot of high-powered cell-phone Yagi antennas pointed south. Locals were saying there is a small hill near the water where everyone gathers to make phone calls when conditions are right.

Would be interested to hear from anyone in the area about your experience with cell phone reception issues there.

I've been trying to get a hold of somebody in San Juanico the past couple weeks. Is the Internet down?

Well, there is no native Internet there. only marginal cell phone SMS or edge data perhaps and individual HughesNet systems.

Hi Joel,

Jose is looking for you with your HughesNet modem in hand. Are you in SJ or should he contact Jack Brule? He doesn't have a lot of time left.
