My goodness, three puzzles in one thread!
The first photo is in the northern half of Baja. I have not hiked to the petros near Concepcion Bay. There is a geocache by them, or used to be.
Your photos are great... I do not have a clue to their location!

The rock with the seals looks like one I saw south of El Rosario between Punta San Antonio and Punta San Fernando.

Good afternoon amigos... The weather in Southern Calif. is clouding up fast... a week of rain is predicted... I can't wait to get to Baja (and
sunshine in L.A. Bay, I hope!!!
Okay, since the first picture was mine, I will tell Taco de Baja he is much closer to the location than Pompano's guess, but not quite right.
I am going to take a stab at Ken Bondy's photo, because it looks a lot like the coast I saw with BajaCactus, west of El Rosario... the future site of
the exclussive Diamante Del Mar golf resort and luxery home estates.

That's close enough David
It's just north of El Rosario, right about where Mex 1 turns north and follows the coast at its closest point to the ocean. The turnoff to this
actual beach is at K45. Doesn't have a name as far as I know, it is closest to a place called "El Consuelo" on Baja Almanac p. 15. There are some
strikingly beautiful black-gravel beaches with beautiful shale ledges in that area, this is just one of them.

Cool... El Consuelo was on the old Baja road, just a short distance south from where today's Mex. 1 turns away from the coast and heads up the canyon
toward El Rosario's mesa.
Antonio know's who owned El Consuelo, we talked about it... maybe a relative of his?

David...you stumped us on those petros...maybe you can guess where these are? The photo is from 1974. No worn paths to the petroglyphs then.

OK David; I am pretty sure I recognize that rock you posted. I wont give it away, but I think I was with you. I remember backing down a steep grade
in my Toy to turn around. Correct?

Yes Jimmy... you and Linda, Chicago Ross and Rose, and Sarah and I were together that trip, last year!
Hint: we had 'Inky' the stray dog with us.
Now let's see how well the Nomads know my web site!
By the way, Graham Mackintosh (now editor of Discover Baja's newsletter) is probably going to publish my Inky story. You know how much Graham likes

The Answer is...
At least for the original posted photo of the petroglyph covered rock...
2 miles east of Mision Santa Maria, at the end of the bulldozed attempt to build a road to Gonzaga from Santa Ynez. The last half mile must be walked
as errosion of the road is too deep to drive over.
In the background you can see the deep gorge of Santa Maria Canyon, the stream is heading down to Gonzaga Bay. From the end of the road building
attempt, an Indian trail (the first route of the Camino Real) continues down to the canyon floor.
Junipero Serra ordered a better route for El Camino Real which stays north of the canyon, high on the ridge. It joins the bulldozed road about where
you would park because driving become impossible.
