cabo to loreto

Hi, How can I get from the Cabo airport to Loreto? How long is the drive, 6hr, 8hr? I assume there are public buses. Approx how much does the trip cost? Are there private vans for hire like ecobaja? Any suggestions? Thanks

You can get a flight from Tijuana to Loreto that will save you much time. Otherwise, unless you rent a car, you are going to have to take the bus. ABC or Aguillla.

7 hours by public bus ABC/Aguilla, runs 4-5 times a day, cost $US 70 or so. A decent bus, like a tourist class, better than Greyhound. A lot of leg room. A/C, washrooms - and pit stops of course. The biggest drawback is a forceful entertainment - TV screens with movies of NOT your choice :)...

It runs from the bus terminal in town.

I doubt that private van will be much faster, or more comfortable.

Just so it is clear, Loreto has an International Airport and scheduled flights.
By road Los Cabos Airport to Loreto is 330 miles (6 hrs.).

Great info. Yes, the average of 50-55 mph goes by the way side for detours, long military inspections and the what not!
