"$220/ land lease"

I assume that is per month. I like The Oasis, a nice community of gringos, close to town.

River front so it does get a bit soggy during the larger tropical storms.

Hope things stay dry during the upcoming storm season.

I absolutely love those places, but as was mentioned above, the flooding continues to be a hazard, especially considering that forecasters are looking at a fairly strong El Nino for this winter. Great for California alta. No so good for Mulege.

I might not understand this kind of transaction as there are folks out there who have no problem with leased land.

$34k for a home on land owned by someone else. 10 year contract means if it isn't renewed, home owner moves the home to another location -- or loses the home -- walking away with nothing.

Am I missing something? Is this scenario not a big deal for some?

$34k for the keys, nearly $2500 per year for 10 years so nearly $60k all in for a decade.
