Back in the day a bit of low grade pot and some questionable chemistry seemed to help some of us think a sparkler was enchanting
Burning Man takes it to a whole other world....fantastic "happening".

We were driving south from Mammoth, down 395 last Monday, and got to follow a lot of these people back to SoCal. It was very apparent who attended
Burning Man - they were usually driving a uniquely-painted vehicle, piled high on top with stuff covered in tarps, and a thick layer of dry lake dust
over everything. Most were cruising slow - around 50 - which is unusual for 395.
And speaking of dust, I heard that many SFO car washes were charging Burning Man attendees 100$ to get their cars washed. It turns out the alkali lake
dust was tearing up the car washes, plugging up drains with silt.

I looked very closely at the video several times and saw something extremely unusual. No, not any of the acts or displays. I did not see ONE person
with his/her face in a phone. Good on 'em all.

From other reports I've seen, this is much more like the Castro District decided to have a party in the Northern Nevada desert.

Well, as an attendee I am here to tell you that the reports you got were wrong. Burning man is an event attended by people of all ethnic, religious,
political and sexual persuasions. It is, an event that is intended to celebrate the pure joy of life through art, music, dance and more. Just by
reading your comment it is obvious that you would not be interested.

Burning man is on mine. I would have already attended but my dogs are a problem. I understand they're not welcome.

I am not sure if dogs are allowed but I can't recall seeing any so probably not. BTW, dogs are not the problem, it's the owners. Many unthinking dog
owners are not responsible for their pets and are convinced that "MY" dog is loved by everyone and everyone loves dogs and wants to play with "MY"
dog. If you really want to see a group of people maximizing their fun factor and letting go of the worries of the world for a few days, leave your
dogs with a friend (they will not miss you) and go to Burning Man.

I read someplace dogs were not allowed. It's understandable because as you say many dog owners, especially new ones, don't know how to do it
correctly, and it looks like a place where a dog could easily get lost.
But you're right. I'll get a friend to take care of my 3 dogs, hopefully, and be there next year.
