But we just ate at that Las Cazuelas...fish and pork were dry. The chicken had some great flavor, but they forgot to put the meat underneath the skin.

I think they changed chefs, owners or something. The service was also below par.

I was hoping I was at a wrong Las Cazuelas, because I had seen several raving reports on the place. The only really good food item was their carrot soup which was almost a bisque.

Which Las Cazuelas in Ensenada are we talking about?

It
But I'm not certain that Las Cazuelas is still open for dinner. They have won international awards for their seafood, dating back into the 1980's. They are also famous for tremendous breakfasts. It has a very clubby, homey atmosphere.

The original on Sanguines just up from the navy base. Right side of the road. Next to a great donut shop, if you are looking for dessert.

it is good...but I don't dig dining in such "industrialized" areas!
donut shop next door? best 'effin donuts ANYWHERE!

I have no actual news, but the original owner was getting on in age, and may not be around anymore. I believe that he gave over the day to day to his nephew who did not to a particularly good job, forcing the old guy to come back and take over. Last I know.
