International phone codes/prefix
If I want to call on a US cell phone from Baja to the US what do I need to dial?
If I am calling from a US cell phone in Baja to a US cell phone that is in Baja what do I need to dial?
Your help is appreciated.

We are assuming you are roaming in Baja with your US cell phone.
To call the US from Mexico dial 001 (1 is the country code for the US) Then the area code and number,
I believe it's the same to call the US cell that is roaming in Mex. The US provider will forward the call to the phone in Mex.
Let us know if this works. I believe it's right tho.

Also, because ID theft for phones is an issue, you probably need to inform your carrier that you are treveling to Mexico and want to have permission
for calls from south of the border.

I have verizon and you do have to sign up for international calling. No cost. When calling out you dial 001 area code and number. for people to call
you they have to dail 011 area code and number. It seems to work but the phone service in limited. Good luck

If I had hair, I would have pulled it out a couple weeks back when I was in Baja looking for our home to be around La Paz. We spent mucho time on
the tele with Sprint assuring that we had all set up and enabled because we knew we had lots of calls to make....well you guessed it, never did get it
to work!
