San Felipe Accomodations

Hello Everyone,
All the hotels seem booked up in San Felipe for the upcoming 250 race.

Anybody know where me and my buddy can stay (we are on bikes). This would be for the 25th and 26th for sure and maybe a couple of days before too.

Another question: Can someone tell me a bit about Quadalupe Canyon. We'd like to pass by that on the way down there.
Thanks,
Nadim

It's Guadalupe Canyon...

I made a web page of the group BBBB #2 fiesta heald there in Nov. 2001: http://vivabaja.com/bbbb2

Arturo's Campo #1 has a web site: http://www.guadalupe-canyon.com

Many of the camp sites are pretty exclusive and behind locked chains usually... insures privacy when you pay top dollar for this piece of heaven.

Here is Sarah in the palm canyon-view hot tub of campsite El Mirador...

http://community-2.webtv.net/vivabaja/nm/ is the link to the Nuevo Mazatlan web page I made... It is a very nice campground, 25 miles south of San Felipe (at Km. post 32). I camped there after watching the 250 in '03... Here's a photo from last Feb...

San Felipe Accomodation

Thanks for the replies everyone. Maybe I confused everyone with my camping comment. I will be riding into San Felipe on a bike so I am still looking for accomodions (i.e. room with a shower) rather that a camping spot. I don't mind camping in Gaudalupe canyon as I don;t think I have a choice there but definatly need a room in San Felipe.

Thanks again for all your replies.

Both Guadalupe Canyon and all San Felipe motels are probably booked up the weekend of Feb. 25... But, you might get lucky at one of the smaller motels... however, expect to pay double... Better to pack a tent and stink for a day!
