Mexico City Water shortage

Sorry I didn't know where to put this non-Baja report.
Here is a shocking article about drought related crisis in Mexico. A long report that shocked me because I never thought that area would have lack of rain problems ,,,,

I had no idea!
I always thought that Mexico City was situated on an alluvial flood zone, being high up.
Sort of like sitting on an enclosed lake.

Ironic for a city, DF, that was born in a lake.
