First hurricane- earliest on record in eastern Pacific

FYI: Adrian is the earliest tropical storm on record in the eastern Pacific. Expected to hurricane by Friday. May not make it up north to Baja, but could be indication of more to come.

Yes, this one is no threat to Baja, but I wonder if this is a sign of a busy season?

The cooler waters of the La Niña event last summer steered the storms west out to sea sparing Baja heavy miseries... depends on what the ocean temps do this summer. El Niño's warmer waters bring more storms northward, so remains to be seen what Ma Nature has in store this season.

Just to be clear, Adrian never reached hurricane force did it?

As early as things are starting, maybe later on it will be Stella,,, Stellaaaaa! (Marlon Brando)
