Eclipse Total del Sol 1991 BCS
Ok, Veteranos. Te acuerdas, remember julio11, 1991 en bajaSur??? With all the talk re Solar Eclipse on Monday I finally dug out my old T-Shirt...
Tierra del Sol Mexicano, julio 11, 1991 en BCS. San Pedrito and Tropic de Cancer hosted a big party at San Pedrito Trailer Park. Todos Santos area.
Where were you? Mono loco, Jorge y otros?? Twenty years my junior we were partying with Sky gazers from around the world. Camping on the beach,
we viewed the cielestos w/ major telescopes. Drugs were definitely involved.. and cervezas! I still remember viewing Saturn w/rings , no lie, in
the evening skies thru a homemade telescope!! I've got the T- Shirt to prove it, ja, ja. And you? A great memory.. 25yrs ago. Sale. Tio

Did a spur of the moment motorcycle ride to see the 91 Eclipse. It had been announced that special vehicle passes would be needed since the Mexican
authorities expected Baja to be flooded with eclipse watchers. Trucks with extra gas were placed along the hwy and supposedly no one could go south
of Guerrero Negro without the pass. The expect flood of vehicles didn't happen, I felt that many were scared off by the restrictions. I watched the
eclipse from the beach at La Playita just east of San Jose Del Cabo with a groups of friends. Perfect conditions and a great experience. It seemed
most of the eclipse viewers had arrived by plane, two days after the event most were gone and the area reverted to the normal summer doldrums.
Weather was great but the ride back north was HOT!

I'm sorry I missed the other Eclipse post. Maybe merge the two?! Glad to hear from others who were also in BCS in july of 91. Itwas a lot of fun
that lasted for more than a few days!! Many of the old time San Pedrito beach
park campers have bought land and live nearby . W're on Beach Patrol most days. Some cute bikinis this morning, matter of fact! Tio
