8 people in 5 vehicles for a road trip? It’s a lot of driving, put at least 2 people in each vehicle. Driving solo gets boring, if you are friends you should be able to tolerate driving together, having someone to talk to, etc.

Fossil fuel burning is ruining the planet - reduce, reuse and recycle (that means carpooling too!)

Chris, do you need links to their Facebook pages to contact them or are you just opposed to using Facebook because it is run by people who think like the satanic mountain goat? LOL

https://www.facebook.com/PlayaBuenaventura/

https://www.facebook.com/campoarchelon/

When you go to their page, a message pop up appears.. and that is the fast way to contact them.
Do you want me to send a message?

Thank you David,
Mark at playa buenaventura has answered my email and we will converse in the am.

Antonio at archeloncamp indicates he only has two palapas left.

Are there other recommended campos with palapas/water/showers in Bahia de los angeles that you would recommend?

Setting your odometer to zero at the sailboat monument in L.A. Bay and taking the paved La Gringa road ....

1.3 Campo Archelon
1.6 Camp Daggett's www.campdaggetts.info
2.5 Hotel Villa Bahia
2.9 La Ventana (palapas), Hotel Los Vientos next driveway.
3.1 Navy Base
3.8 Campo Amigos
5.8 End of pavement
6.9 La Gringa (no facilities, open camping).

If you can't get a palapa at Archelon, then Daggett's is next to check, but they are very popular. La Ventana palapas are not on the water, private homes are. Campo Amigos is a private home area. I think Guillermo's (in town) may have palapas in addition to the hotel there?

Any dogs in your entourage?

If so, some of us may have some useful tips. One thing to be aware of (even without dogs) is that you will have a high likely hood of encountering coyotes along the way.

I don't consider them a danger to people, but they are bold, and sneaky. Even in a busy camp like Daggetts they could be looking for things to get into, or drag off into the bushes.
