The Drafting table is at its new home!

A while back, I put in a wish list for a drafting table for the beca Blanca scholarship recipient, Ramiro, who was about to start college and major in architecture, in La Paz.

Don Jorge miraculously posted that he had purchased a huge, professional one, all we had to do was get it from San Juan Capistrano area down to Baja.

Here we are on the day we stopped by to meet him and his wife for the first time and check out the table!

A couple months later, MMc writes that he is coming south for surfing and will stop by to see if the table fits. Well, he made it fit amongst all his camping gear. We agreed to meet up in Punta Abreojos (where Ramiro's family lives) since I asked them to find someone who would take it to Ramiro Jr. in La Paz.

The huge table in Mike's vehicle:

and Mom Irene even helped out with a part that Mike bought to add to the amazing table:

and below is the table IN RAMIRO Jr's ROOM in La Paz! He is really happy, he said he got quite emotional when it arrived.

It is a great day in Paradise folks!!!! That beauty traveled over 1,000 miles to get to its destination.

Thanks heroes for making the wish list come true. Turns out that Ramiro designed (with no formal schooling) the hotel that his dad is building which is where we dropped off the table in Abre. Since Ramiro helped his dad with construction every free day he had, that is why he chose architecture as his major. Pretty cool that we are helping this kid achieve his dream!

Thanks don Jorge and Mike, from the bottom of my Corazon.
