"Baja Delivery Service"
We have a 20' cargo trailer of our household belongings to be towed from the border to Todos Santos. I've been talking to the Baja Delivery Service.
Does anyone have experience with them? I'm a tad concerned that their plan is for us to drop the trailer at their lot in Dana Point and then expect
it at the house in TS. I would love any thoughts about them or recommendations for a good tow service you've used. We will have our approved list
from the consulate for our household load. I was hoping to travel along with the trailer, not necessarily immediately following, but in the area and
staying at the same places on the way down. Thoughts?

I understand, but it would be me keeping track of them rather than vice versa. I will have more speed and maneuverability. It's a little nerve
racking to just turn them loose when I know so little about them. Also, the roads leading to our place in Todos are iffy and I'd love to scout for
them before they try to pull the trailer up the hill, and be there to accept delivery so the trailer isn't left unattended.

If youre nervous about contracted mover,... how did you find them? Did you check their references?
Shadowing them is difficult, and what are you going to be able to do mid-journey if you spy them doing something?
Hire a reputable mover, then stand back and let them do their job.

Are they bonded and insured? Did you check their references? There are some real fly by night companies owned by people looking for employment.
I would go with someone reputable like ACV Logistics.

What possibly can you do if say, 200 miles from the border, they are driving poorly?
Just hire them and hope for the best, but don't follow them or worry about their driving. All that needs to be let go, by researching reputable movers
before they get your stuff.

What is the ballpark price they are asking?
Shipping to Los Cabos from Tijuana is very reasonable, any chance you can cross the border with the trailer yourself and ship from TJ?

Beware Baja Delivery Services. They are not a Mexican business, have no insurance, and are hard to get a hold of when something goes wrong. No web
site should be a clue.

I had a bad experience with a woman who was set to bring stuff down for me and scammed my Mom. It was terrible! Do not remember the name,
unfortunately.
Great idea to get real references. If they are good, plenty of folks should be able to attest to it.

We have used Baja Delivery Service. They always returned our call, easy to work with. They do have a web site, just google them. I’ve recommended
them to all our friends, I would use them again..we are in Los Barriles.

They have a Facebook Page. No website unless very recent. Google does not show any. Did you ask for their Mexican business license or insurance?
We did to move some stuff North. They said we had to provide our own insurance. We went elsewhere. Are they friends of yours?

We did not know them before we contacted them.. Jason was very profesional, gave us the cost and time frame. We could always reach him..we were very
happy with the service, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Since he is a friend, you should ask why he does not get a business license or insurance....I would think this is a red flag for most people.
No web site?

personally I know ACV and have used them multiple times commercially 10+ years. I'd recommend them in a minute
Don't know "Baja Delivery Service", but if you are looking for cargo insurance on a "Mexico "House Hold Goods" movement, you will have to pay extra
for coverage. Standard practice. In my 25 years of working with Mexican carriers (general cargo, not house hold goods), if they tell you they have
cargo insurance... they don't.
Even with the most reputable carriers like ACV - cargo insurance carried by carriers by law is "pennies per pound".
From looking at "Baja Delivery Service" FB site, they serve a niche market moving vehicles for expats. Don't see anything off with them. Not sure
the value of what you are shipping, but I think your risk of loss or damage is greater sitting in your home than in transit.
