Old Mexican Coin

Does anyone know old coins? I've had this one for about 20 years. It's a bit beat up, but I am wondering about its history and value. Any ideas? :?:

Thanks for the info Jesse! It doesn't seem worth selling. Maybe I'll take it with me on my Sea of Cortez kayak trip and Geo Cache it in some very hard to get to place, like the Sierra la Asamblea, and who ever finds it first can have it!

Its worth at the very least 20 or 30 bucks in my opinion, worth looking into.
