La Ballena San Raymundo Mulege

We’re talking about taking our utv’s from San Juanico to Mulege via San Raymundo. We did it two years ago...good road then. Has anyone been over that route lately?

Yeah, it is passable, just rough. More rocks than 2 years ago due to hurricane flooding. Some water crossings, nothing deep. For extra points try the "shortcut" over the mesa about 5 or 6 miles east of Cadeje.

I have seen more bicycles come across this year than motos, its part of the bicycle "Baja Divide" route. Consequently, I have helped fix more bicycles than motos this winter!

Thanks for the report Al. The last trip we went east of Cadaje and over the hill to the Ballena road.....who know we’ll see what happens when we get to that point in the road. Thanks again CJ

Please take lots of photos if you are able! I drove about 1/3 of it last October going to the "Ex-Misión de Guadalupe" and back to Mulegé. Very beautiful country up there and you are driving a bit on the California El Camino Real, of 1720!
