Will be good for motorcyclists, like me. My KLR will easily get from El Rosario to Jesus Maria but my Suzuki GSX1100g only has about 170 mile range at best.

Perhaps bikes are not meant for long-distance travel. Anyway, it's only 150 miles from El Rosario to Pta Prieta.

Where is the gas station in Punta Prieta?

Gas from cans sold at the L.A. Bay Junction (Parador Punta Prieta, Km. 282/Km. 0) and the town of Punta Prieta at the store on the north side, Km. 12.5, west side of the highway.

David,
I knew that, just didn't get the reference to Punta Prieta when I had referenced the distance from El Rosario to Jesus Maria. I top off the bike at Catavina since the guy at the BOLA turn off is not always there and the same goes in the town of Pta. Prieta.

We always fill our dirt bikes at Catavina as our route was over 180 miles to El Rosario. Mikes Xr440 4 gal tank no problem my wr450 3.6 gal carry extra gal. Problem the 300 Gas Gas two smoke used over 8 gal still ran out of fuel.
