Agua Verde fishing restrictions

We are discussing a possible trip to Agua Verde later in the year but had heard that there were some fishing restricted zones (similar to Cabo Pulmo). Anyone know if this is correct? Thanks

Not sure.

There are pangas down there every time we go. I'm sure you could pay them to take your out, assuming no restrictions.

here is an interesting article https://www.pri.org/stories/2018-08-17/no-fishing-zones-mexi... I believe there are still some off limit areas along the eastern Baja coast from San Evaristo north. Can't easily find a listing of them but local guides should know. There certainly are some depleted areas where the only catch left is triggerfish, the Sea still needs some time to recover.

whiskey witch, that is the article that brought this to my attention. Don't want to roll in there and be disrespectful by not knowing the lay of the land. Thanks

The last few times I have been there I've been told that you can't fish around Isla San Marcial aka El Faro where the sea lion colony is.
