La Paz mail service to USA
so we are looking at spending a month in La Paz over Christmas. The only problem is my wife needs to be sending significant amounts of mail back to
the states for her work.
The timing is key, has to be sent out and recieved in the 2 weeks before christmas.
So anyone know of a reliable mail service in La Paz - I know we use the one guy in San Felipe, but thats a whole different deal.

My guess is FedEx. We used them for sending real estate docs from NorCal and they were in La Paz in two days.

Ive used a company called Estafeta here in Loreto to send important packages back to US, pricey but has worked reliably.
I assume they also have offices in La paz

There is a network called "the Net" organized on VHF channel 22 at 8:00 am Mon-Sat that includes as a community function a mail carrier volunteer
service. Each day the outgoing (and incoming mail) is gathered at the Marina La Paz office and a volunteer who is leaving that day brings it with them
on the plane and drops it in a mail box on arrival to USA. It actually works very well and is the least expensive option. Other options are very
expensive, take time and are not very reliable. It's generally for contributing members to the Club Cruceros and Boating community, not a free service
for free loading hippy slackers. YMMV

Gnukit et al: This "service" is not intended to be used for a commercial venture. Find another alternative. Hippies, free spirits, and any other
kind soles needing assistance communicating via mail are welcome to use this service with the understanding that you don't need to "show no stinking
badges" but are encouraged to join Cruceros to participate. It is not a free service for free loading corporate lackys.

Maybe an importer would work?
I’ve used ACV to send letters and return items occasionally, takes about a week for things to get to a USA post office I think, it’s $10usd for
letters, but maybe you could just put them all in a box and send, they have a price list for different sized boxes, or other importers.

The problem its high volume, end of the year thank you letters to those who contributed to Injured Marine Semper Fi fund. They are hand written, so
it takes a while, but they all need to go out between dec 10th and 20th.
