I just installed DuoLingo and played with it about 45 minutes-- it requires a lot keyboard interaction and seems inappropriate if one's commute is actually driving.

Blanca, you said Les is using it with good results; how is he working on his pronunciation? That's a facet of these computer-based programs that I can't understand... and a part of second language acquisition I think gets way too little focus. Few Gringos manage to ever even approach native pronunciation, and I personally think that's achievable.


I will use a different app for any commute listening.

My kids said I was saying everything like it was French when they overheard me, lol
