Severance for gardener

Need advice on how to determine severance pay for a gardener who has been under our employ for 9 years...waters our garden twice each week. Our house may sell and I want to make sure that I am meeting expectations.

Termination pay includes 3 months salary plus 20 days for each year worked plus prorated vacation and Xmas Bonus pay.

Pay per week is divided by 7 = Daily rate

Wouldn't it be pro-rated as he was part time?

Oh, his pay/week would be much less, hence the daily rate is reduced. That works, I think.

Good on you, an introduction to the new owners might be good too?
