phone calls in mexico


Is anyone up on what changes to make phone calls in Mexico after Aug.3rd ? Is Baja part of that change ?
I heard you will be able to call cell phones and landline the same.

Looks like area code and phone number. No more additional dialing codes for cell phones.

For a cell phone wasn't it just a 1 in front of the area code? And that has been gone for a while now I believe.

From Mex land line to Mex cell requires dialing 44 or 45 prior to the cell number if the call is within an area code (44) or crosses two area codes (45).

Looks like that is going away.

Trying to call Las Rosas Hotel in Ensensada from California

The numbers we used six weeks ago are not connecting

Any help on dialing with a cell phone from US to Baja....

Try +52 (123) 456-7890 - +52 (area code) 7 digit number

press and hold down the zero to get a plus

Yesterday we called the El Cid Hotel in Ensenada by dialing

011-52-646-178-2401

This was from a US land line in CA
