There is another agency that samples seawater for contamination at several beaches in the La Paz municipality three times a year. Usually the results are good. You can see the historical results for La Paz at the link below.

https://apps1.semarnat.gob.mx:8443/dgeia/gob-mx/playas/desti...

If you want to see the results for other Mexico beaches click the breadcrumb link 'Resultados de calidad de agua de mar' for a clickable map. Baja beaches are usually much cleaner than mainland ones.

Does cabo have any sewage system? Or is everything cess pools, likely leaching to ocean?

Another reason to avoid any beach with houses or crowds - chit!
99% of houses on beach probably leach sewage near shoreline (coastal cess pitscommmon, septic is probably rare (municipal secondary or tertiary treatment is rare to non-Existent in cities)

If a crowded beach has nasty (or no) latrines, you can assume people are sneakily doing their business in the water. Yuck!

Woke!

Wow!
In my newbie opinion, newbie here so bring out the attacks🙄, it was quite in need of a break from humans...myself included.. after what I saw in June.

Of course caca is another story 💩💩💩 Bummer..such an incredibly gorgeous beach..one of the prettiest I’ve seen anywhere in the world.
