Here's the back cover of Harry Crosby's Gateway to Alta California with a little about what the book is about. It is an excellent source on the final leg of Serra's journey through Baja to reach the bay of San Diego.

I have many of these given to me from Harry, all new, in the case from the publisher, and for just $15 each to cover packaging, shipping, and a little for my effort and gasoline.

I just didn't want these going into the dumpster!

If you come to me, they are free!

Happy Times!

In addition to the Harry Crosby and Daniel Reveles books being available (below wholesale prices) from www.oldmissions.com, if anyone is in North San Diego County-Inland, you can pick them up for free and I will include Mike Humfreville's book in that deal. If you are interested in any of these titles that are not listed at www.oldmissions.com just u2u or email me on how to get them.

Here are the Baja Titles I have here (new, uncirculated):

Gateway to Alta California, Harry Crosby

The Cave Paintings of Baja California, Harry Crosby

Portrait of Paloma, Harry Crosby

Guacamole Dip, Daniel Reveles

Houses by the Sea, published by Amaroma Ediciones

In the Shadow of the Volcano, Michael Humfreville

Baja Outpost, Marvin Patchen

The Baja Book III, Tom Miller

There are only three copies of Baja Outpost left and one of Baja Book III.

I have one copy left of Baja Book III, and the price is the same as Baja Outpost. U2U me if you want that title as it isn't on the PayPal list.

If you order my Land of Missions book with Gateway to Alta California, I will include free, your choice of one of these: Portrait of Paloma, Guacamole Dip, Baja Outpost, or in the Shadow of the Volcano (while supplies last). Message or email me to confirm you get the deal you want. Non-Nomads, my email is: info at vivabaja.com.

BAJA BOOK III (16th edition c1992)

I also have (in my collection, not for sale): the 14th edition of Baja Book III which was a tiny bit smaller, dated c1987. My Baja Book II is dated 1977. The first Baja Book was published in 1974.
Baja Book IV was published in 1996 by Ginger Potter, after Tom Miller passed away from cancer.

I just mailed one off today, so only one left for sale.

David seeing some of your books made me think of our old friend no longer with us Bernie Swain. He authored several light reading fun books. Bernie had Baja Tales that were funny and interesting. I always enjoyed talking with him when we had the book sales and artists in at the Condos I believe around KM 47 or so. Really miss those fun gatherings of the bajanomads and actually meeting the people behind the online names. Take Care and Travel Safe----"No Hurry, No Worry, Just Fun" bajafun777

Great... just let me know when you will come by (so I can be here) or when you order online, so I can add a gift. I will include one more book if you buy the 4. Possibly, Mike Humfreville's book, In the Shadow of the Volcano?

Hi Baja Fun 777! I still have that fun shirt you made.
I have every one of Bernie's books, signed by him. In one, he wrote a chapter about me, lol.

Here we are arriving at the Pyramid Resort in 2008, with Bob H and Audrey:

As soon as we pulled up, Baja Nomad member 'Baja Fun 777' and his wife greeted us (in the center)

The subject of Erle Stanley Gardner books came up in another thread and I do have duplicate copies of three of his titles. They are valuable to collectors and Baja fanatics (like me) so I will think on this a bit.

If you are interested, feel free to email or u2u me. I have extras of Hunting the Desert Whale, The Hidden Heart of Baja, and Mexico's Magic Square. I also have extra copies of Dr. Michael Mathes' 1977 big photo book The Mission(s) of Baja California. As I look at my bookcase here in my office, I see I have other duplicates... As I get older, I guess I need to let some of my 'kids' go! LOL
