Apparently, Los Barriles has baricaded themselves in!

from Baja Pony Express:
East Cape Health Center has taken initiative. Brittany and Edgar, working hand in hand with the local Police Chief and Paramedics, have convinced them of our need for security. We now have our community closed off from anyone coming to town. If you live here just show your ID otherwise you will need permission note. All roads entering town have police checkpoints and the beaches are well patrolled with dozens of police from La Paz. As well, the roads leading to Cabo are also blocked and police are preventing passage to SJ and Cabo without a permission slip. IF anyone needs to travel, for any reason, we can provide a note.
We have not seen anyone even suspicious with covid19, but we are prepared.

Wish I could import here to La Bocana although I hear that we are doing the same...since I am not leaving the house, except for mini cleanups with no humans for at least a mile, I cannot tell you how it is working out.

What a blessing if Baja Sur could really stay safe.

Come visit La Bocana

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

"We have not seen anyone even suspicious with covid19, but we are prepared."

What in the world is that supposed to mean? That's assinine. It appears that most of the transmission of this virus is by people who are infected but asymptomatic. If you expect that anyone with COVID19 is going to be coughing their head off and sneezing, you don't understand how and why this disease is spreading at all.

That is good for us. Keep all the sickies and foreigners out. Although it has been a while since I needed a note from my mom to go out of town. That's okay since we are not planning on going anywhere for a bit. We use a service to pick up stuff in Cabo or La Paz.

This explains low number of cases in Mexico - they don't "see" it
