Just read that Mako Bob (Robert Moore) passed away this morning.

Rest In Peace Mako Bob, Baja was your dream and your courageous fight to make it yours was inspiring to follow. Since it was your time, I’m glad you died where you longed to be.

I never met him but was so moved by his fight to come down to Baja to live out his dream.

He was the epitome of what it means to love to fish.

RIP and thanks for sharing your struggle and for demonstrating how much one can achieve with sheer determination.

I stopped an met him in March on my last trip, I had run across his boat build of FB. I felt lucky to have met him, he had a passion for building his boat and fishing for sure.

was he they guy that recently had lost his leg and had just finished building a boat and put it in the water a couple weeks ago? RIP sir.

Yes


That was him. I was the guy that helped him launch and went out with him.

He wouldn't let me paddle the whole time. He insisted on paddling us around for about 4 or 5 miles.

We caught some fish and had a good time. He will be missed!
