Where to stay in San Quintin, GN
Looking for suggestion on where to stay in San Quintin and Guerrero Negro. Thanks.

San Quintin: Hands down hotel Jardines. Very nice place.
GN, we only pass through and usually stay at the Cowboy. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination.

In G Negro, we always stay at Terra Sal, which is the first hotel on the right as you enter town. They have a restaurant but we prefer the Malarrimo
restaurant. It has inside and outside seating with plants all around. Their little souvenir shop is really interesting too.
Now, if you drive 2 hours further, you can visit us in La Bocana and really get a taste of a village on the Pacific!

Another in San Quintin (Los Pinos Ranch) is the La Misión hotel. Also, if you decide to stop before San Quintin, the Pirates Cave Hotel and
Restaurant in Camalu is great as well. Try the guacamole with chips and the cracked crab in paprika. Turn right at the signal in town and drive out to
the point, about 2 miles.
Two dirt roads diverged in Baja and I, I took the one less graveled by......

Bunch of good places in San Q, but agreed on Jardines as one of the best.
Hotel Santa Maria ( Los Pinos Ranch ) is also a great stop and a beautiful beach location, good food and friendly
Baja Cactus is a good location, but I have been a little dissapointed with the food in El Rasario over the last few years, if they get another 'Mama
Espinoza's' going, that is a better stop overall to head south, if your in a rush.
I am not a rush, rush style guy, so I will always stay where the food and people are good.
Thinking the western side of the pennensula may have a bit of a wake up call due to alot of folks taking the new road across to the San Felipe side to
avoid the stop and go on the west side, happy travels

While I have not had a bad meal at Mama Espinoza's, there are many more restaurants in El Rosario along Hwy. 1.
It was in 2017, but I had several good meals (breakfast and dinner) at Loncheria El Faro, and also Tacos la Misión (Hugo Lopez's place), and (Ed
Lusk's) Baja's Best... However, Ed has posted that with lack of business, he is not running the restaurant beyond serving for his Bed & Breakfast
clients.

Cieleto Lindo in SQ.....rooms are good, food is great, and Happy Hour is killer....a good thing your room is a minute away.

I love the Veracruz style fish and the margaritas at Cielito Lindo's. I look forward to getting back down there. I've only stayed once in the hotel
about 10 years ago and didn't care for it.
I've stayed at the old Desert Inn (whatever the new name is), Jardines, Villa de San Quintin. All good. Jardines has a very appealing surroundings. I
once stayed at the hotel across from the Villa de San Quintin. $20 for the night and hard core porn on the TV. It's owned by a lady that did a lot for
the local community when the hurricane came thru several years ago.
