Wonderful book to own. I had the privilege of working on the first edition way back in 1989. At that time it was a different publisher. It was one of the many Baja books our company printed that inspired me to make my first Baja trip in 1990. Other books I worked on were: The Magnificent Pennisula; The Baja Adventure Book; The Baja Catch; The Baja Boaters Guide (both volumes); The Unforgettable Sea of Cortez; Journey with a Baja Burro; The Peoples Guide to Mexico; and King of the Moon. We had just printed the Baja Burro book when I met Graham McKintosh at Ecomundo in the early 2000's. He was on his way down to visit his Burro.

Is that a record breaker of some sort? Wow! Second thought was there has to be ALOT of water down in the ground in this region.

Cardón is the largest variety of cactus, in the world. I think Google has the record tallest listed as over 60 feet?
