Dont, for a moment, think that tubeless tires wont get flats. They will.
Springing for tubeless ready rims can really add to the expense on a fat bike like I have. I've gone the tire liner/Slime route with 120 tpi exo
tires. Only one flat in about 18 months of desert riding. It was an incredibly long goat head.
The tubeless tape is also not that reliable, or so I am told. No direct experience. Especially not recommended on tires as fat as mine (4.8")
Cholla spines never seem to compromise this setup. Too thin, I guess. They go in, I see them and remove them, but they never cause a significant flat.
Nothing that a little more Slime cant fix.

It inserts into a bike tire, like an innertube. It is a rubber-like, spongy/ heavy insert. The idea is it fills the tire instead of air. The weight
added is the negative, but no tire repairs ever again is the big plus.

Repairing infrequent flats is easy. Riding heavy wheels is not fun. Inability to change tire pressure makes for crappy ride.
