PCR Test Santa Rosalia/Mulege?

Greetings,
Flying to Baja for a week to hang out with friends in San Bruno. Does anyone know if Santa Rosalia or Mulege have rapid PCR tests? Such a pain since these have to be done a day before leaving. Curious how I will get the test and then get the results before flying out? I suppose I may have to go to Loreto a day early to get this taken care of.
Thanks for your help!
Later,
Steve

Sorry, I can not answer your specific question, but because you have not received a response, they are very easy to get in Loreto. Walk in, 800 pesos, couple hundred feet north of the police station on the other side of the street (Circuito Nicolas Tamaral, I think).

A life of fears leads to a death bed of regrets.

Find someone who will take care of you, and take care of them.

I'm not sure on this, but can't you bring a home test with you -- one of those 15 minute ones? Then the question, "what if" the test is positive?

Canada requires the more sensitive PCR test. The problem is some ppl can test positive for weeks or even months after getting Covid when the PCR test is used. But they are no longer contagious.

The Antigen test is less sensitive. When you have a negative on that test you are not contagious.

Canada are being dicks by requiring the PCR test. Thankfully, the US got this one right.

For the home test to be accepted by the airlines it would have to be "video proctored." It's my understanding that companies do this, but I've never tried it.

Hi Jz: Unfortunately two of our family members tested negative to the rapid test while showing symptoms after exposure, requiring them to test again a day later to obtain a positive reading. Presently, if you test positive to the rapid test and are showing more than mild symptoms, you make an appointment (drop in testing no longer allowed at some locations) to get tested with the PCR and this is seen as more reliable. If you are flying into Canada a negative PCR is required before you board the flight home.
Under this system, we presently miss a whole lot of local infected people as our testing rates are very low in comparison to those in the US. Our actual infection rates are estimated to be 3 to 4 times the positive cases found with testing. Omicron is both blowing through our testing capabilities and vaccinated population.

Just returned from Baja. JZ is correct, U.S. is not requiring PCR tests right now. Antigen test is fine and there are labs in Santa Rosalia ($1600 pesos), Mulege ($800 pesos), and many in Loreto ($800 pesos). I went to the lab in Mulege and they were very quick and professional (no brain swab, only nasal:). I made an appointment and had my paperwork within about 20 minutes.
Simple enough.
