Cano's Cabin in the Sierra Laguna

Any one have the history of this amazing place? It's at 5300 feet up a road that must have been treacherous even when it was built. Can't find anything online except that it was built by a businessman from Cabo who died before it was finished. I'd love to find pics of the place before it was destroyed by mother nature.

I was there about 10 years ago looking for the endemic Baird's Junco. Called it in and got his photo!

What a shame... Do you have photos at the ruins?

I do but can't post until later. It must have been amazing in it's day. Do you or Harald know any of the history?

Thanks Oly.

Thanks to Mother Nature.

All creatures great and small, and so beautiful.
